After 30 amazing years, Exit Art will be closing in May 2012. We want to take this opportunity to thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for the support and generosity that has made the work of Exit Art possible. This Benefit is to raise funds for The Legacy Project: a 30 year retrospective exhibition, the publication of a major book on the history of Exit Art and a properly funded transfer of the complete archives to NYU Fales Library. The Legacy Project is essential for ensuring the ongoing recognition of Exit Art’s most vital contributions to the art world; nurturing the careers of thousands of artists and intitiating groundbreaking, interdisciplinary curatorial models.
