Exit Underground, a new 3,000 sq.ft. nighttime space located beneath the main gallery, will be the home to two theaters, one for digital film and the other for performance, complete with bar/lounge and separate entrance.

This new subterranean venue will feature a diverse palette of public programming in a distinctive, flexible new space designed to bring artists and audiences together to collectively experience the best in contemporary video and performance art and explore the myriad strains of expression that animate our cultures.

Hosting a diverse program of film, video, live theater, music, and other performance, the Exit Underground will feature weekly programming curated by Exit Art in collaboration with local artists, directors, and other cultural producers. Building on the significant accomplishments of Exit Art’s storied past, Exit Underground will mark a clear path for Exit Art’s future as a model cultural center for the 21st Century.
