THE EXIT ART DIGITAL ARCHIVE

Coming Soon! A highly searchable, comprehensive database of Exit Art’s extensive archives.

Since its founding, Exit Art has been committed to the creation and preservation of its archives. Now with funding from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the National Endowment for the Arts, the New York State Council on the Arts and the Henry Luce Foundation, Exit Art is in the process of organizing and digitizing their 25-year history. The goal of the Exit Art Digital Archives Project is to increase public access to, knowledge about, and usefulness of the unique cultural materials in Exit Art’s archives.

Available through the database will be:

• information regarding Exit Art’s exhibitions and programs

• information on artists

• images of individual artist works and exhibition installations

• video of performances and documentation of the installations

• audio interviews with artists
